Our Block wines represent the most intense expression of fruit grown on our Carneros Estate Vineyard. S Block Chardonnay is a small S-Shaped parcel on a southwest facing slope of our Carneros estate. Planted to the shy bearing Wente selection and constricted by the shallow clay soils, this block always produces a wine of distinct character. The cool climate vineyard allows us nearly perfect conditions year after year to produce world class wines. Controlling all farming aspects within our own vineyard gives Cuvaison an advantage in producing the best quality fruit therefore minimizing over manipulation at the winery.

Palate: Silky and creamy texture with lush melon tones and nectarine jam.
Overall Impression: Certainly one of the plushest Chardonnays we’ve ever crafted, a dense and concentrated offering with luxurious floral & fruit tones.
