Cuvaison's Carneros Chardonnay comes from our own estate in the southern part of Napa Valley. This cool climate vineyard allows us nearly perfect conditions year after year to produce world class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah. Controlling all farming aspects within our own vineyard gives Cuvaison an advantage in producing the best quality fruit therefore minimizing over manipulation at the winery. Winemaker Steven Rogstad sums it up best, "My style and philosophy are based on expressing the unique character of our estate grapes and doing as little as possible to them. When one has such wonderful fruit to work with, that should be ones emphasis."

Age of Vines: 5-19 years
Winemaker Notes
Aroma: Kiwi, clove spice nectarine and lime zest with a hint of toasty oak. Palate: Lush, mouth filling flavors of peach, apricot and papaya backed by vanilla and allspice.
Overall Impression: A super supple wine with a creamy, silky texture and vibrant, fresh fruit. Nicely balanced with a clean, satisfying finish.

We were fortunate to have been able to enjoy this wine on a Princess Cruise last week. It was wonderful, smooth and flavorful without any sharpness/bitterness. Unfortunately, we cannot ship wine into Maryland or I would definitely order them to enjoy at home.
