Sourced from the northeastern region of the Sta. Rita hills, the Spear Vineyard lies on a steep, clay loam hillside. The wine produced from this site is rich with a deep concentration of black fruit, including blackberry, bramble and black plum, accented with bright pomegranate, and unmistakable minerality. On the nose, the wine is lightly spiced with anise and sassafras, while remaining lush and full bodied across the palate. This marine influenced Pinot Noir marries opulent red fruits with velvety tannins that shimmer on the finish.
