Winemaker's Notes

Bottled sunshine, our 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir comes from a vineyard block expressly farmed to make Rosé. That means we farm it more like a white wine block, it’s canopy more open to provide free air flow and dappled sunlight, driving fresh fruit flavors. We can shorten the hang time and harvest earlier while the acids are fresh and the sugars not as high. And like an aromatic white wine the fruit is whole cluster pressed and fermented entirely in Stainless steel to optimize freshness and retain the primary fruit tones and esters. Our 2018 Rosé has wonderful wild strawberry, raspberry and kiwi notes with a surprisingly lush mouthfeel and a lengthy, bright finish. This wine is as fun as it is serious.
